Can I pick up my order directly from Healthy Cooking Company?

Yes! You are able to pick up your order directly from our commercial kitchen located at 2/11 Knobel Ct, Shailer Park 4128. Please choose this option at checkout.

What happens if I live in a gated complex, or unit block?

Please enter any gate codes, and/or other delivery instructions in the section available on the checkout page.

What if my food does not arrive, or it is not there at all?

Please contact us on, 07 3806 0087 between 8.30am-4:30pm on your delivery day to discuss any issues.

When will I receive my order?

If your order has been placed before 2pm on a Thursday, you will receive your delivery the next Tuesday or Thursday depending on your suburb. If you order after 2pm on a Thursday, your order will come Tuesday or Thursday the week after next.

What time will my delivery arrive?

If you are having your meals delivered to your home address, these will arrive between 1pm-5pm Tuesday or Thursday depending on your suburb. Due to unforeseen circumstances that may alter the delivery route, we are unable to provide a specific time.

What if I am not home to receive my delivery?

If you are not home when your delivery arrives, the box will be left at your front door. Please provide instructions if you would like it left else where.

What do I do with the box once emptied?

We re-use and recycle all of our delivery boxes. Please keep hold of the box and leave it at the door to be collected on your next delivery.

Payment

Does Healthy Cooking Company have lock in contracts?

No! At HCC we do not lock you into any contracts and you are free to cancel at any time. You can place your order and pay per order each week. If you would like to have a re-occurring order that automatically places your order and deducts the payment, you can arrange an ongoing order.

How do I set up an ongoing order?

Please contact us on 07 3806 0087 between 8.30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday and we can assist you.

How can I cancel my ongoing order?

To cancel your ongoing order, you will need to contact HCC before 2pm Thursday on 07 3806 0087 between 8.30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday. We can pause or cancel your subscription for you, so the order will not be placed until further notice.

How do I pay?

You will need to process payment in the checkout stage of ordering. All meals and items must be prepaid for the order to be accepted. HCC accepts Visa, Mastercard & Paypal.

How do I place my order?

Simply click on the ‘Order’ tab and choose the category from which you’d like to order. You are then able to browse our current menu, tailor to your preference and proceed to checkout.

Preparation

How long do I have to eat my food, until the expiration date?

At HCC, our meals are made with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients and do not contain any additives or preservatives to prolong the shelf life. All fresh meals will have a 5 day shelf life.

Do you cater for allergies?

At HCC, we have meal options available that cater for gluten and dairy intolerances.

Do you provide a vegetarian diet?

Yes, we are proud to provide vegetarian and vegan meal options.

Where do I keep my meals?

All meals should be refrigerated below 5 degrees C, unless otherwise stated. Frozen meals should be kept in a freezer below -18 degrees C.

If the meal says ‘may contain’, could the allergen still be present?

‘May contain’ will be present on any nutrition labels if an ingredient within the recipe has been processed within the same facility as the allergen. While the Healthy Cooking Company takes all due care to keep allergen prone ingredients out of certain meals, there is a chance it may still be present. This may include: Nuts, Sesame, Dairy, Gluten, Shellfish & Egg.

Can the meals be frozen?

All meals will state on the label which storage is suitable for that meal. We do not recommend freezing the fresh meals as this may alter the quality, freshness & taste.

Why is Healthy Cooking Company different?

At HCC, we provide you with fresh, wholesome meals free from additives, preservatives, and low in sodium & refined sugar.

We experiment with a wide variety of nutritious foods from the five food groups – fruit, vegetables, dairy, lean meat and protein alternatives (e.g. legumes, free-range eggs, nuts and seeds), as well as wholegrains (e.g. brown rice, oats, quinoa and freekeh). Each person is a unique individual, so the time it takes to see changes can vary considerably. In saying so, the cells of your body are dynamic and constantly renewing. They rely on the nutrients and energy from the foods you eat, which means your body benefits from the moment you consume a wholesome food. For example, the outer layer of skin is made brand new every 28 days, while the entire lining of your digestive tract is replaced every three to five days. By incorporating more real, nutrient-dense foods into your diet, you are nourishing and fuelling each cell in your body.

What are the benefits of healthy eating?

No matter your size, age or lifestyle, nourishing your body with foods close to nature will improve your health and vitality. Eating well helps you feel good, fight disease and maintain a healthy body weight. You can further optimise your health by pairing a healthy diet with adequate sleep (aim for at least 7 or 8 hours), drinking plenty of water and being physically active every day.
